Oclaro's Focus Areas for Corporate Social Responsibility

Oclaro is committed to delivering quality products in a responsible manner by meeting or exceeding rigorous international standards. In order to accomplish this, Oclaro’s Business Management System is divided into two parts; the Quality Management System and the Environmental Management System.

Quality Management System (QMS)
Oclaro’s Quality Management System is certified to comply to ISO 9001 and, in some instances, TL9000. The scope of registration varies depending on the specific site focus, but broadly covers Design and Development of optical, optoelectronic and passive devices for telecom, datacom, military, medical and industrial markets. For operations focused sites, the scope is increased to cover manufacturing aspects.

Oclaro was first registered to ISO 9001 on July, 1992, and has received regular surveillance audits to maintain certification since then.

Environmental Management System (EMS)
An underpinning of Oclaro’s approach to Environmental Management is compliance to the international standard ISO 14001. This provides a continuous cycle of planning, implementing, reviewing, and improving the processes and actions that are performed to meet business and environmental goals.

Oclaro holds an ISO 14001 certification for its key manufacturing sites and ensure their key manufacturing partners also achieve certification.

Oclaro was first registered to ISO 14001 on October, 1996, and has received regular surveillance audits to maintain certification since then.
