Position Reports to:  Sr. Director, Sales Operations and Customer Service

Function/Department: Sales Operations and Customer Service

Location of position: San Jose, California

POSITION SUMMARY

The main focus of this role is to provide decision support reporting, Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) compensation modeling, field interfacing and performance insight across OCLARO’s growing sales & services functions. This will include analysis and trending of data along with development of standardized reporting and KPI’s. Must be a forward and critical thinker who can contribute to the development of innovative global solutions to improve and optimally automate the current performance measurements and reporting. Identification of issues and opportunities for efficiency gains along with recommendations for business optimization are required. Preparation of executive management summaries is a key deliverable of this highly visible position.

The ideal candidate will have: Proven success in business analysis and decision support reporting and optimization. Experienced in reviewing metric results and providing insights. Capability to complete data review for inconsistencies and process flaws along with recommendations for solutions to identified problems. Versed in process flow documentation. General understanding of cost/benefit reviews. Excellent communication skills; verbal and written. Ability to successfully interface and influence with many different functional groups. Responsibilities include:

  • statistical and business analysis/ decision support
  • interface with multiple databases and data warehouses to generate reports
  • business modeling (SIP and operations) and metric reporting
  • analysis, insights, development of recommendations w/ projected impact
  • system spec design for “production” reporting requirements – IT collaboration as needed
  • system & tool implementation support (data validation, training development & delivery)
  • support routine weekly and monthly data reporting and management to maintain current business processes and ensure error-free, accurate and timely reports
  • business process documentation
  • assist in the maintenance of Master Data for business reporting and forecasting tools e.g. Business Intelligence (BI)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • proven success in developing and reporting on KPI’s
  • ability to analyze data, identify trends and substantiate statistical significance view points
  • familiar and extremely accurate with system data pulls
  • proven success in developing and reporting on KPI’s
  • proficient/expert in MS tools: Excel / Access / graphical representation
  • experienced in ERP systems: SAP/ORACLE
  • experienced in Salesforce sales automation tool
  • ability to deliver executive mgmt. summaries
  • solid understanding of the sales motion and supply chain operations/ high-tech business operations
  • process diagraming (e.g.: Visio or similar tool experience)
  • high energy, self- starter along with social and influencing abilities

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • BS in Data Analytics, Finance, or other related field
  • 5+ years related industry experience in the high-tech area – Strong analytical background required; Sales & Service Operations experience a plus
