KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform as member of cross-functional team of engineers on different project assignments focused on the design, test, and transfer to manufacturing of micro-optical devices and subsystems
- Review product designs for manufacturability & reliability - identifying and developing key process for yield/capacity improvements and cost reduction
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor or master degree in Physics or material science;
- 5+ years experience in optical components/assembly packaging of micro-optical system/subsystem
- A deep understanding of reliability issues for passive optical components, knowledge of assembly and packaging processes, automation and optimization ;
- Responsible for material selections for various assembly operations, evaluate, qualify and initiate changes to optimize process yields and long-term performance
- Experience in design and develop jigs, fixtures, tooling and equipment required for the assembly of micro-optics packages, modules and subassemblies;
- Hands-on experience in optical alignment and epoxy based process. Familiar with various kinds of epoxies
