SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION:
Develop class leading electro and micro optic design for telecom applications
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Suitable candidate will develop class leading electro and micro optic design for telecom applications
- With solid background in physics and math, the right candidate will engage in the development of innovative designs with a global cross functional team consisting of optics, electronics, software, and mechanical
- Leveraging Oclaro's strength in InP, GaAs, LiNbO3, LC, and thin film technologies is strongly encouraged. The right candidate will take calculated risks in technology exploration to set new value benchmark for telecommunication industry
- Lead the development of micro optics based components
- Support transfer and production of passive optical devices in China
- Analyze and respond to customer and marketing requirements to meet new and specific customer needs
- Integrate and report all technical perspectives at milestones
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with micro optics and free space optics design (Required)
- Experience with optical design tools like Zemax and Code-V (Required)
- Skills in fiber-optic packaging process (Required)
- Knowledge of component requirements for 40G,100G systems (Desired)
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Ph. D in Optics (Desired)
- Knowledge of component requirements for 40G,100G systems (Desired)
