ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage a team of ~10 R&D engineers on product development and R&D activities.
- Define product concept/functionality and roadmap by working with UK R&D teams, PLM and customers.
- Supervise the development work from conceptual phase into mass production.
- Conduct business and NPI progress review to ensure key deliverables on track.
- Interface with PLM, manufacturer and customer to align on design and specifications properly defined.
- Manage development cost and budget in line with business objectives.
- Ensure right documentation and process in place and follow.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- B Eng or M Eng, PhD preferred.
- Min 10 years working experiences with fiber optic or related industry. 5 years must be in R&D function working on electronics, telecommunication systems, and control systems.
- Proven track record of successful NPI experiences.
- Hands-on experiences of people management skills with more than 10 engineers reporting.
- Hand-on experiences in fiber optics product development or fiber optics system development.
- Solid engineering tools and applications: FMEA, PSDM, Statistics, FA.
