JOB TITLE:
R&D Engineer

SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION:
- Leads VCSEL development projects from project definition to transfer into high volume manufacturing
- Chip and mask design
- Process Engineering support: Work together with process engineering and manufacturing team to continuously improve the VCSEL manufacturing process and provide support for the implementation of modified process steps.
- Electro-optical simulation of VCSEL structures
- VCSEL FMEA: Study laser failure modes
- Implementation of new VCSEL testing equipment
- Interpretation of test data and wafer release
WORK LOCATION:
Zurich, Switzerland
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading of R&D projects
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- PhD in Physics or EE
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Optics, lasers, optoelectronics, semiconductore manfuacturing, 6-sigma, RF design, labview
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in semiconductor laser industry advantageous, but not a job requirement.
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to relocate to Zurich Area
- Fluency in English
