The IGP-28121J and IGP-28221J SFP transceivers are higher optical output power variants of the basic SFP transceivers. Both versions provide typically 5.5dBm output power compared to the +3dBm of the equivalent standard power parts, making them particularly useful in unamplified links or to reduce optical amplifier requirements. The IGP-28121J is designed to accept DWDM SONET/SDH (with or without FEC) and Ethernet protocol traffic at rates up to 4.25Gb/s, while the IGP-28221J is designed for 100Mb/s to 2.67Gb/s multi-rate SONET/SDH links up to 200km.
