Oclaro's Focus Areas for Corporate Social Responsibility

Statement responding to THE CALIFORNIA TRANSPARENCY IN SUPPLY CHAINS ACT and UK MODERN SLAVERY ACT (2015)

Oclaro, Inc. (Nasdaq: OCLR), designs and manufactures optical components, modules, and subsystems for optical transport and metro networks, enterprise networks, and data centers.  We combine in-house and outsourced manufacturing to maximize flexibility and customer support. We operate R&D and chip fabrication facilities in the U.S., U.K., Italy, and Japan; in-house and contract manufacturing sites in China, Malaysia and Thailand; and design, sales and service organizations in each of the major regions around the world.

Oclaro’s Corporate Labor Procedure includes standards for Freely Chosen Employment to ward against the risk of slavery and human trafficking within its business.  These standards are consistent with the Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct (Section for Labor, paragraph 1) that Oclaro publicly endorses.  Oclaro has signed declarations from its key contract manufacturers and suppliers consistent with their agreement to adopt the values stated in the RBA Code of Conduct, including Freely Chosen Employment.
